About us

Thurrock Young Parents Supported Housing includes Ruth House, a nine-bedroom shared house, Dell Road, a move-on service with seven one-bedroom flats, and two additional two-bedroom shared flats.

We provide support for single young people aged 18 to 25, who are pregnant, or have a child or children. We encourage young parents to develop their skills, increase their self-confidence and live as independently as possible.

  • Staff on-site during the day
  • Short-term supported housing for up to two years
  • Communal facilities including a lounge, kitchen and garden

Communal areas

Ruth House has a communal lounge, kitchen, laundry room, buggy room and garden. Dell Road has a shared garden. The two-bedroom flats have a communal lounge and kitchen.

All rooms are let on a licence agreement and all flats are let on an assured shorthold tenancy agreement.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for a place at Thurrock Young Parents Supported Housing, applicants must:

  • Be single and aged 18 to 25
  • Be pregnant, or have a child or children
  • Clients must have a five-year connection to the borough

How do I apply?

To apply directly, please complete the enquiry form below and ask for an application form. We also accept referrals from the housing team at Thurrock Council. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
