About us
Located in the village of Vange, in the Basildon borough of Essex, Swan House Foyer provides short term (1-2 years) supported housing for single young people aged 18 to 24, encouraging them to develop their skills and live as independently as possible.
- All flats are fully furnished with access to communal facilities including a lounge and chill out room
- Short term supported housing for up to 2 years
- Staff on-site 24 hours a day

Location
Within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and Basildon railway station, as well as South Essex College, Basildon Adult Community College and recreational parks.
Accommodation type
17 one bedroom, fully furnished flats over two floors. One flat is adapted to meet disability needs.
Communal areas
Shared on-site facilities include a communal lounge, laundry room and chill out room.
Safety and security
Staff office on-site, CCTV and a secure door access system ensure residents’ safety and security.
Technology
Free Wi-Fi in communal areas. We can provide assistive technology for extra safety and reassurance, which can be purchased at additional cost.
Rental agreement type
All flats are let on a licence agreement.

Am I eligible?
To be eligible for a place at Swan House Foyer, applicants must:
- Be aged 18 – 24
- Engage with the support planning process and meet the terms of the licence agreement, including being supported to access education, training or employment
How do I apply?
We do not accept direct applications. All referrals must be made by Basildon Council.
All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
