About us
Wimborne House has 10 one-bedroom apartments within a retirement living service.
We provide housing with care and support for adults aged 18 to 65 with a range of learning disabilities.
- Staff sleep in and are on-site 24 hours a day
- Optional long-term supported housing or short-term, move-on service
- Access to onsite restaurant and communal areas of the whole building
- Regular activities and access to events organised by the retirement living team
Inspected and rated by the CQC
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the national independent regulator of all health and social care services in England.
They inspect and monitor care homes, nursing homes and supported housing where personal care is provided and produce reports about them, to help you find a service that suits you.
Staff at Wimborne House provide CQC-registered care and support. Our CQC-registered name is Gravesend Care Services.

Am I eligible?
To be eligible for a place at Wimborne House, applicants must:
- Be aged 18 to 65
- Have a learning disability
- Require a minimum of 11.5 hours care and support
- Meet the criteria for funding from Kent County Council
How do I apply?
We accept referrals from Kent County Council. All care and support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
