Sanctuary Supported Living have been recognised at the Learning Disability and Autism Awards for its exemplary practices in delivering a range of housing options.
The coveted Supported Housing award was presented during a grand gala dinner held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham on the evening of Friday, 21 June. The event was a gathering of the most dedicated and innovative organisations and individuals in the field, making the recognition all the more significant.
Sanctuary Supported Living has over 650 services across the country committed to providing supported housing for people with disabilities, mental health needs, young people, older people and those affected by homelessness or domestic violence.
Judges were particularly impressed by the organisation’s impactful vision. They praised the supported housing provider for its passion for receiving and acting on genuine feedback to ensure that its housing aligns with best practice and meeting the needs of its customers.
Sanctuary Supported Living encourages its customers to get involved in various ways, including through Communities of Interest, carrying out ‘Experts by Experience’ test visits, serving as resident inspectors, and participating in resident panels. These initiatives provide valuable insights into what the supported housing provider is doing right and where it can improve.
