Sanctuary Supported Living
A Scarborough resident feels she has found her forever home since moving to Jazz Court retirement community.
Mary Lord moved into Sanctuary Retirement Living’s Jazz Court in June 2017, after her husband’s care needs increased, and she immediately felt at home.
She said: “We were really struggling to cope where we were living previously and so my social worker suggested Jazz Court. I fell in love with the place as soon as we walked in and I haven’t looked back since.”
Set in the quiet community of Eastfield, near Scarborough, Jazz Court provides retirement apartments and communal facilities, with onsite care and support, for people aged 55 or over, or who have long term care needs.
Residents can enjoy their retirement in comfort and continue to live independently, with the peace of mind that help is on hand if they need it. Jazz Court aims to offer a lively atmosphere and mixed community of people who have a range of care needs. Mary and her husband love their apartment and the social activities on offer, which have all been adapted to comply with social distancing regulations.
Mary continued: “We really feel part of the community here and have made lots of new friends. I have my independence back, but also a tailored support package as and when we need it, so the best of both worlds. As far as I am concerned, we will live here forever!”
